Teach & Kids Learn (TKL) is a Qualified Service Provider for General Education and Training approved in the State of Washington for grades K-12. We are pleased to provide our comprehensive online courses for educators within the State of Washington. Each course is directly aligned to the State Standards and Danielson Teaching Frameworks.

This application is for those educators who are renewing their Continuing Certificate through the completion of 100 clock hours or equivalent college credits or Professional Growth Plans (PGP)s. 100 clock hours or equivalents must be completed within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for renewal.

NOTE: Educators applying to reinstate an expired certificate must submit documentation of completed clock hours or equivalents to the Certification Office for review with their application.

CLOCK HOUR NOTE: Further clock hours earned will not start counting towards the following renewal until the next certificate’s effective date.

STEM NOTE: For all Continuing Certificate renewal applicants submitting after 9/1/2019, they must complete the STEM requirements as part of their renewal clock hours.

TPEP NOTE: For all Continuing Certificate renewal applicants submitting after 9/1/2019, they must complete the TPEP requirements as part of their renewal clock hours.

National Boards NOTE: Educators who hold a valid National Boards Certificate may submit that certificate in order to renew or reinstate their certificate.

Clock hour equivalents are allowed as follows: We offer both 45 clock hour and graduate level courses.

1 Graduate/semester credit = 15 clock hours

Form 1128-8: Use this form to document completion of a Professional Growth Plan and submit to your school district to claim clock hours and to the Certification Office if you are submitting an application for renewal or reinstatement of an EXPIRED certificate.
